Since its inception in 1959 Pretoria Sailing Club has been offering sailors of all capabilities the ability to sail.

Whether it be cruising on the pristine Rietvlei Dam in the Rietvlei Nature Reserve game viewing and bird watching from sailing boats, or highly competitive dinghy racing (on a weekly basis), PSC offers it all.

Sailors can compete against each other, or against the elements, and then meet up in our bar for a chat and camaraderie over “a cold one” before having a braii.

Because sailing of this nature is at the heart of Pretoria Sailing Club, we have grown to be the largest dinghy sailing club in Southern Africa, producing some nationally and world renowned sailors in the process.

Pretoria Sailing Club is situated with in 30 minutes drive from the centres of Pretoria and Sandton and 10 minutes from the Irene and Centurion.



WE ARE YOUR LOCAL SAILING CLUB

With our large water space we can offer the sailor, the ability to compete in a series of established racing competitions (See our events below), where the best of the best are selected to sail for their country.

Or we offer the lazy evening cruising.

We offer what you want.

(Due to Tshwane Council byelaws, sailing is restricted to dinghies under 6m [no Keel Boats, Catamarans or Windsurfers are allowed – Please contact us for information on venues where these can be used]).

Our Club House has food and a bar, with areas to relax and enjoy the scenery and the sailing, our newly installed swimming pool allows children of all ages (from 4 to 70 years) play. We have up to date ablution facilities with hot and cold showers.

In conjunction with Croc's Sailing Centre (A South African Sailing Academy Sail Training Centre), we offer the ISAF Learn to Sail Program.



Pretoria Sailing Club is affiliated to the South African Sailing Federation (an ISAF National Member Authority).

Pretoria Sailing Club proudly supports the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
